Channel 101

Met Justin Roiland last night at Channel 101. He premiered a new short that is funnier than the controversial and now banned, House of Cosbys - but you can catch episodes all over the web. It should be up on the Channel 101 site in a few days so check it out.

Lines and Colors

What a nifty blog.

Right from their description: lines and colors is a blog about drawing, sketching, painting, comics, cartoons, webcomics, illustration, digital art, concept art, gallery art, artist tools and techniques, motion graphics, animation, sci-fi and fantasy illustration, paleo art, storyboards, matte painting, 3d graphics and anything else I find visually interesting.

The "I" is Charley Parker and he has a good "eye."

OMMA and Ad-Tech

Michael Bellavia, the General Manager of ANIMAX Entertainment, is going to be speaking March 27-28 at OMMA HOLLYWOOD about online video content. OMMA is run by MediaPost. If you'd like to meet up at the conference, send an email to info [at] animaxent [dot] com.

He'll also be at Ad:Tech Chicago in July - a ways away, but it's nice to think about Summer during Winter.

Dixar, Pixney, DiPi, um, Disney

From The Hollywood Reporter: Disney buying Pixar for $7.4 billion The Walt Disney Co. said Tuesday it is buying longtime partner Pixar Animation Studios Inc. for $7.4 billion in a deal that could restore Disney's animation domination while vaulting Pixar CEO Steve Jobs into a powerful role at the media conglomerate. Pixar president Ed Catmull will serve as president of the new combined animation studios.

ANIMAX is very happy about this as Disney has been a great client of ours. Exciting times.

Mike at Night

ESPN Radio's Mike and Mike in the Morning is adding an evening broadcast. It will be a 30-minute Best of Mike and Mike, which will boil down Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg’s four-hour morning (6 a.m-10 a.m.) talk radio simulcast each day. Why does ANIMAX care? Because we're big fans--we like Howard Stern too--since we've been animating the Off-Mikes series. Stay tuned for Season 3 coming to ESPN.com soon.

Front Page News

We're on the front page of the Ad Council's website today for the animation ANIMAX did as part of the McGruff the Crime Dog bullying project.

Today ANIMAX launched a new website for SL-Tech which included a new logo, new print collateral, and a whole new approach to communicating with their clients. What exactly does SL-Tech do? Anything and nearly everything having to do with the management of foodservices.

On the Radio
