Shoot 'Em Poker

Hign Noon + Poker = Fun Mobile Game. The Animax Entertainment Mobile Division worked with Best Direction to redesign a new mobile game set in the Wild Wild West where in order to get a winning poker hand, you have to shoot for it.

We're in the midst of art development on another mobile game as well and will let you know about it soon.

"Hurricane Katrina" the Comedy?

For awhile Animax has tracked lots of different Google AdWords blunders. We found a new example recently on Linked In that had Discovery Channel promoting it's Hurricane Katrina documentary as a comedy. Shame on the online marketing department. We alerted AdRants, one of our favorite blogs, and they picked up the story.

Baby Crazy!

Everyone loves babies, right? Well, most of the time, yes. But sometimes, babies can make you crazy. Ever been on an airplane with one? Or try watching a movie around one? And if you think that's bad, imagine what Michael Jackson and Britney Spears babies are gonna turn into! Watch this video we produced for Intermix's Flowgo.com and you'll see what Animax means.

Animax in 3D

Today we debut Animax Entertainment's 3D division. To see one of our first projects, take a look at the newly launched Disney Motion. Motion is a really elegant broadband video portal that showcases Disney's treasure trove of animated and live-action content. There are behind the scenes highlights, music videos, trailers and more. It's particularly fitting that the 3D animated D-Bot debuts in a video featuring Brother Bear 2 which stars Animax's very own Dave Thomas and his partner Rick Moranis reprising their roles as the mooses (or is it moosi?)

And no, Animax Entertainment is not abandoning Flash or 2D character animation in any way whatsoever, especially since we have a bunch more Flash projects in the works right now that we'll be letting you know about in the coming weeks.

On August 17-19, Dave Wolfe and Warren Fuller as part of the LA Flash User Group are leading a weekend session called Flash Character Animation Master Techniques (only potential Masters of the Universe need apply.) This is your chance to tap into two animation experts, nay, two animation geniuses, nay, animation gurus, nay, animation wizards, nay, oh you get the point. If you've ever wanted to learn how to make your characters come to life using Adobe Flash then this workshop is for you.
