Animax is Thankful

Animax just got our vanity Facebook url http://www.facebook.com/animaxent - yes, we are that shallow. Thanks to all the folks who became a fan to push us over the hurdle. Thanks also to all the clients, past and present employees, friends, family and everyone else we came into contact with this past year. It's been an interesting ride this year and we appreciate you letting Animax be a part of it.

Now We're #2!!!

Animax Entertainment has been running the numbers lately. First we #402 on the Inc. 500 list. Then we were #3 on the list of fastest growing private companies in LA. And now we just found out we are #2 on the list of fastest growing private companies in the San Fernando Valley.

Thanks again to our clients, employees, vendors, partners, contractors and friends and family - the last few years were very good to us. Here's to hoping the end of 2009 and 2010 is even half as kind and generous.

LA Business Journal article

The Los Angeles Business Journal ran a profile article on Animax Entertainment in association with our being added to a top 3 spot on the list of the fastest growing companies in Los Angeles.

We're #3 out of Top 100

Last night the Los Angeles Business Journal ran an event showcase the Top 100 fastest growing companies in Los Angeles for 2005-2008. Animax Entertainment placed #3 on the list.

It's been a nice awards stream for Animax:

• LABJ: Ranked #3 in all of Los Angeles
• Inc. 500: Ranked #402
• Platinum MarCom Award

And there's more to come. Next week we find out from the San Fernando Valley Business Journal what our exact rank is on their Top 50 list and in another couple weeks we find out if we win the category as a Finalist in the DPAC Awards.

DPAC Awards Finalist

Animax's branded entertainment division Animax Unplugged is a finalist in this year's Digital Publishing and Advertising Awards in the category of Best Video Campaign for our work on Slotcar. The award results gets announced in December so keeping fingers crossed. This comes on the heels of having just won a Platinum MarCom Award for the campaign.

Play the New iCarly Game

Animax produced another new Nickelodeon Game of the Week. The game is a crazy new smash-up memory game called iCrush it with Spencer. Definitely true to Spencer's nuttiness, you have to quickly remember different objects and then smash them to pieces.

Earlier this year we'd produced a couple other Games of the Week for Nickelodeon including Tru Jackson's Fashion Fury and Barnyard's Battle for the Barn!

Animax Among Fastest in LA

First Animax was added to the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing companies in America. Then we found out we were among the 50 fastest growing companies in the San Fernando Valley. Now we hear we were added to Los Angeles Business Journal's list of the 100 fastest growing companies in all of Los Angeles, again measuring our growth between 2005-2008. Catch us if you can.

CBS Interactive's SmartPlanet.com features an interview with Animax's Tucker Aaron that gives the Top 5 tips to making sure a video has the best chance possible of hitting it big. Solid advice.

Pass Back Apps

As seen in Geek Dad, The Boston Globe had a nice overview article of the market for mobile apps specifically made for toddlers. An interesting factoid is that 60% of the Top 25 apps in the iTunes store's education category are target to the toddler set.

We're going to be launching the Little Pim iPhone app pretty soon - Animax will let you know when it's ready.

Secret Girlfriend

We also wanted to mention that one of the stars of Slotcar, Derek Miller, is now a regular cast member of Comedy Central's new series Secret Girlfriend. Congrats, Derek, from Animax.

Hardee's & Carl's Jr. Tweeted Us

Wow - the burger powers that be over at Carl's Jr. and Hardee's just tweeted us a nice note of congratulations on our MarCom Platinum Award for the series we produced for them called Slotcar. Thanks, guys, much appreciated.
